Hello,
I am a parent of a 14 year old girl who has LD/ADD.
there is a lot of out burst not wanting to do work. the problem is she never learned how to learn. how to problem solve and how to think things though.
When try to explain to her how to find the answers, ect (is there a trend with the data they give you, what is the same, different) she will shut down I believe too much at one time.
My question is, since we are dealing with a teenager.
who was in resourse since second grade but never devoloped the skill. and it is summertime, is there any activity or suggestion that is not academic that will help with thinking and problem solving for a kid her age?
thank you,
Natalee
Cooking, shopping, landscape design and planting, strategy games, planning a trip, day hike, trip to the zoo. There are tons of every day type activities to do over the summer. Not only will they help with thinking skills but they are great life skills.
