I am in the IEP process. My son who has dyspraxia-adhd-writing disability was evaluated by a neuropsych who recommended that this be done to help him get on target with academic/social/organization problems. I asked the school if they can do that and they stated that the law states it can only be done if the child will substantially regress in learning skills. How can I address skills that are deficit (his writing capability is two grades behind)? Are there other options to me that will not cost an arm and a leg?
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
