Tomatis vs. Samonas
Hi All,
Can anyone compare these two auditory listening therapies:
Tomatis and Samonas
I would compare Samonas more along the lines of TLP (The Listening Program). It’s a little more intense, but much harder to implement. It consists of a series of listening tapes and you go through a strict sequence.
It is based on Tomatis Method and I’ve heard people have had good results.
Nothing really compares with going to a clinic and doing the full program. At a Center they customize a program specifically for your child (or self) and can do the bone conduction. With a customized program, the sounds can hit more areas of the brain that need to be developed which may not occur in a generic program. The Centers use special equipment to implement the program.
