Wilson reading question

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

At what point do you decide a child need Wilson one on one, instead of in a group?

My child is in 3rd grade. Started Wilson Fundations in K. Started Wilson reading summer of 2nd grade. Got to level 1.6.

Started 3rd grade and continued Wilson. They found the group was moving too quickly. Switched to another group that was just starting Wilson. Started at 1.1, again. Progressing fine with new group, but I feel it’s because it’s just repeating what’s already been taught.

I have another child who gets Wilson and progressed so much more than this child.

Just not clicking or very slowly clicking for this one!

If one on one is what is needed, I need something to show CSE.
Thank you.

Group work is only effective if all of the students have the same level of coding ability. So the group needs to be carefully formed.
