I’m wondering how many people have experienced trying to obtain accommodations for symptoms and treatment related to Chronic Lyme Disease while in college. Did you have a difficult time? Were the school and professors helpful? If not, how did you resolve the issues?
My daughter was recently kicked out of her university where she was completing an internship just 5 weeks shy of graduating with her Masters Degree. The school claimed while they could give her classroom accommodations they had no leverage in helping her find an appropriate internship site or intervening with an internship site to help arrange accommodations.
She had a 3.8 GPA, had received “meeting expectations” on all evaluations throughout school and internship, and had gotten glowing recommendations from professors and the program director when applying to internship sites.
Now we are in the midst of a costly lawsuit.
There has got to be other students out there who have had issues. I’d like to hear their experience and how it got resolved. Thank you
