Graduate Student's Survey on Disability and Higher Education

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

My name is Andrea Abel and I am a graduate student at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL studying best practices in disability service programs.

It has been estimated that as many as 1 in 10 students on a college campus has a disability. Given this, it is important to consider the type of support offered at colleges and universities, as well the perceptions of students, staff, and faculty regarding these services.

If you are a student who has obtained services from the Disability Service office on your campus OR a faculty or staff member who has worked in or with this office in any capacity, please take a few
moments to complete the survey at:

http://www.surveymonkey.com/AccessAbilitySurvey

The survey should take a maximum of 10-15 minutes to complete. Some participants may be asked to answer follow-up questions at a later date, although this aspect of the survey is optional. No identifiable information will be included on any results or publications.

These surveys will be active for approximately two weeks from the date of this message.

Please pass this on to any relevant organizations, listservs, websites, individuals, colleagues, etc.

I genuinely appreciate your participation.

Best,

Andrea R. Abel
