intense prep for ADD students

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

Does anyone know the name of colleges that offer intense workshops/classes for students with ADD? I’m not referring to the disabilities office found at all colleges or universities. I heard there was a one year course for students to help refine their learning and organizational skills. I think there is one in Seattle, and one in Wash. D. C. I know about Landmark. Any help would be appreciated greatly.

There is a guide to colleges called K&W guide To colleges for Learning Disabled Students. If you call the colleges in there or look through that book, you might find the program you’re looking for.

Montgomery College’s Rockville Campus offers a program called
“College Access Program” specifically designed for students with
learning disabilities. It is a one-year program designed to get
students with ld ready for the rigors of college. Call
301-279-5058. It is housed in the office of Disabilities Support Services, but it is a distinct program. They don’t do math there—just reading, reading comprehensiion, study skills…and writing, writing, writing!
