My son graduated from high school last year. He had his heart set on entering the coast guard but has been unsuccessful in attaining the needed score on his ASVABS. We have had him tutored and used many of the the ASVAB help book printed with sample test etc. We even used an ASVAB video that was good but did not do the trick for him.
Our plan B is to get him into a school that will help him with his learning disablility and perhaps prepare him to pass the ASVABs in the future—otherwise he has an interest in science more directly marine biology.
Any suggestions on schools?

Then if The Coast Guard is a main target, you may just want to drill, and drill until he passes the required test. Once in, the Coast Guard will take care of his needs, in ways only the milatary can (like it or not. :wink: )
I always suggest the K&W Guide To Colleges for Students with Learning Disabilities. You can get it from amazon or at a good bookstore or a public library. Landmark College, Green Mountain College are two that always come to mind as colleges specifically for students with learning differences.
