I’m an educational specialist in San Francisco who is interested in assembling a list of 20 or so independent schools and colleges / universities (some in the west -especially- as well as the Midwest & east coast), which have particularly effective programs for students with mild/moderate LDs. I receive many inquiries from parents related to this issue and am attempting to unravel this mystery for them.
Does anyone know of a resource which might have this information? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I am an independent educational consultant who does post- secondary placements for students with learning disabilities and ADD. I have a database of over 100 schools that have a variety of programs. Please feel free to get in touch with me if you think it would be helpeful.
The K&W Guide to Colleges for Students with Learning Disabilities might be your best bet. It will list the ‘big names’ like Landmark and Green Mountain on the east coast - schools that target at LD kids.
But the older edition of Princeton Review’s Best 311 Colleges also included information about the presence (not the effectiveness) of learning support programs in the ‘brand-name’ schools that do not target LD kids but will admit them if their grades and scores are in their range.
Armed with some names, always check out their websites. University of Pennsylvania, for example, makes their learning support services seem impressive. They devote at least a full page to a description of their learning center and its services. Other school may devote a sentence. That says something in and of itself.
