The most current documentation that I have is a phsycoeducational evaluation that I took about a year and a half ago. I did get tested when I was younger (around the age of 8 and 13 I think) but I never had an IEP and I don’t have test results availbale from those ages. I’ve been meanging to call the gentlemen who gave me those tests so I can obtain a copy of them.
I think that the more current the testing the better. When you are grown and at Uni or planning to go to Uni… your IEP from like grade nine is not going to reflect the same needs you might have as a 20 something year old.
Also… what all you obtained to help you learn from your IEP is not always the most kosher things that are applicable at Uni.
Furthermore… we all reach certain developmental milestones at different rates…and so therefore the more current the testing the better because what you went through as a youngster might not be the same thing you went through as an adult.
Never pay anyone at Uni any mind if you are like 31 years old and have current testing and are being asked for the whole history of your testing from like grade four onwards…that is, as Michael Jackson would say; ignorant (small voice)…get that current testing and leave well enough alone if you are over 30.
If your Uni has a bad Offices of Student Disabilites, they will ask for the unattainable in order to mess you up with getting a simple accomodation. They will ask people in their 30’s and late 20’s for old testing from the early 1980’s in addition to your most current testing. Depending on where and how you grew up you might only have the most current testing and nothing more…what is more applicable when you are an adult? Most current testing or really old testing?
