ADHD

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

I am writing a paper on ADHD, and I was wondering if you can help me with some ideas. How do you deal with a student that has ADHD in your classroom? What different activities do you do to keep your student with ADHD on task? If they were to act up, how do you keep them from hurting themselves or peers around them. Any other information you can help me with I will appreciate.

Do some lit-reviews in journals so that you can do a decent paper…Go to the bookstore or library and get some books on ADD. Go online to the American Psychology Association website and start surfing for your answers.

Check out a book called Educational Care by Mel Levine. It should have good ideas for you and it should be in any public library. Or check out his website and this website for suggestions it has.

Between Educational Care and LD In Depth (on this site) you should be able to find some good, objective sources. You will also find *lots* of “Got the Answer!” books with strong opinions on the subject — don’t be distracted by it ;)

http://ericir.syr.edu has a database of journal articles for education, too and some of those resources are available online.
