ADHD & ICT

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

I am a student in Liverpool (UK) studying Secondary Education Information Technology and am writing a paper on the pros and cons of using information and communication technology in the teaching of children (11-16 age range) who suffer from Emotional or behavioural problems. If any one can offer advice as to resources or own practical experience I would be grateful.

there are pro’s when teaching adhd children… you are never bored…you can relate to the children better when you are moving about the classroom…you have and interesting view on life reciprocated to you when conversing with your students

there are con’s I suppose too. you need to have a lot of patience..a good sence of humor…and sometimes unfortunately you need to be strict…you have to be quite assertive with students at times…

american schools are not like english schools at all…children here get away with much more horse play than those in england..
