ADHD Workshop

We have a workshop designed for parents, educators, and mental health professionals who want a broader perspective on attention disorders.

The workshop is Saturday, April 21, 2001, 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

Topics: Symptoms associated with ADHD and physiological conditions, what to look for in assessments, treatment of physiological conditions by professionals, physiological strategies that promrote optimum attention and concentration for all children.

Fee: $44/person, $58/couple (two adults caring for the same child).

Thank you for your reply regarding the ADHD workshop at UM-St. Louis. The workshop was titled: A Psychophysiological Approach to the Treatment of Attention Disorders. The psychophysiolocial approach examines the relationship between physical conditions and behaviors. There are numerous physical conditions that can create the same symptoms of inattention, distractibility, and hyperactivity that are used in the diagnosis of ADHD. these include: hypoglycemia, thyroid conditions, allergies, nutritional deficiencies, sensory integration dysfunction…
