Fokes Sentence Builder

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

Does anyone know where I can order Fokes Sentence Builder? It’s a kit that has pictures and pocket chart that has slots where you can put the pictures and words to build a sentence. It teaches how to build and expand a sentence by answering who, what, where etc…

I was hoping someone would respond to this. Old post. I was trying to find ya, Maricel!

Anyway, I don’t think they make this anymore. Too bad. I did a google search. I made one of these once for working with autistic kids. I had seen one and thought it was very cool. Prolly took a no. of hours. But I had envelopes with color coded words; a line with some spaces or pockets, and some pix I drew. It really helped get the sentences in order.
Would likely work nicely for kids who just couldn’t get the noun/ verb thing less concretely.

I saw a nice possible derivation. It is a magnetic board with color coded double board, with nouns in red; verbs in blue; prepositions/other words in yellow; adj and adv in green. Real nicely done (no pix though— I think Fokes had a bunch of black and white pix). Sells for $20 which seems a fair price.

The only trouble is a google search, and it brought up nothing. Nat’l school products has no online presence that I am aware.

Address is National School Products 101 E. Broadway Maryville TN 37804

If you want i could scan a picture for you, if you want to send me a message.

I saw this post and had to add that you can find one here! I know it’s a few years later, but hopefully it can help someone!
