what shall i do? we had a meeting for an iep overview…my request, now i have a great discomfot about it. I feel that some of my concerns was not fully address…like too long review materials on biology which is 26 pages long of study guide; her case manager commenting that giving her a study guide 3 days prior to the test will make it difficult…for teachers I guess. i asked for that accomodation. now what will i do if she did not include that on her accomodations? please, help me :!:
You are able to change the IEP, but you will need the others to agree. I would ask what the team thought would be good accomodations for your child if they are having problems in Biology. Ask if your child could use another’s peers notes,use a taperecorder in class, take the book home, if they normally don’t compile a study guide they may not want to,but if there are other kids in class also having a problem maybe the special ed director can set up a study group for extra help.
