Inclusion in P.E.

How do you deal with multiple disablilities in a physical education setting? How can you effectively teach the “normal” kids along the the disabled kids without “wasting” valuable instruction time, especially in a school where you aren’t given alot of time for physical education in the first place? Does it count as restrictive if a concern for safety causes a teacher to have the kids in the gym at a time that is separate from the rest of the class? I can understand the regular classroom, but where do you draw the line in a physical education classroom?

You have the child put in adaptive PE class. If it is an IEP decision, they have to provide the class with a certified instructor.
