Got an email on my “learning center” group yesterday about online “tutoring” of math, and writing to the tune of: not an editing service, so after three verb disagreements you say “please check for these in the rest of the paper” — and this year that school is, for the first time, going ot hire people w/o master’s degrees (don’t know if they’ll lower their $18/hr. wages or not).
There are several companies providing the technical backbone for this kind of service to the schools; if I weren’t already gainfully employed I’d definitely be giving it a close investigation.
