I have been seeking assessment (suspected adhd) for several of my students for over a year. Now one of the student’s doctors is requesting a letter from the teacher to persuade him and/or the pediatrician that this student needs to be assessed. I am feeling pressure to get this letter just right, so my recommendations are not ignored again. Do any of you have a sample letter? I really need to get some help for these kids.
Usually the doctor provides a questionairre for teachers to complete — not a letter justifying assessments.
