Hi - I was wondering what other people thought about Mencap selling off Lufton and Dilston colleges as a cost cutting exercise?? My son goes to Lufton and I am other families rely on the specialist teaching and support he gets there.
It’s awful to think that Mencap are more concerned with the money than actually supporting families - have they finally sold their soul to the corporate sector?
I’m sorry I sound harsh, but I am devastated that my son will have to leave - there is nowhere else in the area for him to go and I don’t know how our family will manage now. He’s made such progress at Lufton.
I’d be interested in other people’s thoughts?
