Merrill reading program

Is anyone familiar with it? I understand it is an old program that used to be called Merrill linguistics but now has some o-g components. I tried looking for it on the web but with no luck.

The information I have is Merrill Linguistic Reading Program (1999 edition). Student Readers, Skills Books (Student’s and Teacher’s Editions), Levels A-H. Scientific Research Associates (SRA) 155 North Wacker Drive Chicago, IL 60606 800-843-8855I don’t have the readers - but am referring to the Preventing Academic Failure book for lesson plans and this uses the Merrill books - supposedly they are very controlled and follow along the OG program.: Is anyone familiar with it? I use the Merrill reading program for my second grade students. The books I have are the old ones. However, the skill books can still be purchased. I find that my first and second graders who are having so many problems with reading really like these books. They can feel successful in their reading. The stories mesh well with Project Read lessons. As my students get well into mid second grade level reading, I can change them to a less structured program. At that point they have the confidence to try something new.
