Need some advice

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

Hi there, I am currently in my 1st year of teacher training and have an assignment to do on special needs. We need to look at a case study of a child and any changes to planning the teacher needs to make. I have decided to do mine on a child with learning difficulties who is also in a wheelchair. I was just wondering if anybody had any useful advice?? Thanks.

The changes I make around that child, though, depends on their learning difficulties. If they have a spelling issue, I don’t count spelling on any papers or tests. If they have a writing issue, I will allow them to dictate to me or to their parents and so allow the student to get their thoughts out and down without burdening them. Are those the kind of things you mean?
