Question for Anne Cahl

PASSWORD>aaeYQY6v7xAyA: Have you considered sensory integration dysfunction? This is so often
: an ‘invisible’ disability. Consult an occupational therapist,
: preferably one who is certified in sensory integration or
: experienced in this area. The SIPT (Sensory Integration and Praxis
: Testing) is a terrific diagnostic tool. Good luck, Anne Cahl,
: occupational therapist (SIPT-certified).Anne, Do you work with children with perception difficulties? My child has experienced fine motor difficulties since preschool. We thought it was something that he would outgrow. Though he handles a pencil better, he experiences other difficulties. If he has a written assignment that does not contain lines his words end up in a downward curve. He also has difficulty in sports though he is very athletic. He is the one that always gets hurt. Eating is another challenge. For some reason it seems as though he can not judge the amount of food to put in his mouth. Then there is the issue of food ending up on his clothes. I am trying to figure out if it is a perceptual problem. Thank you for any input. Susan
