Has anyone ever heard of this machine? Sounds a lot like an alphasmart. A colleague mentioned it to me and it sounds interesting. Has anyone used one? I’d be interested to know more about this product. Thanks!
AlphaSmart
Thanks Sue for your input. I need to get more info. on the Qyxie. Re: your comments on AlphaSmart, I was confused. The Neo is similar to the AlphaSmart 2000 and 3000, just improved. I did not have to purchase extra software for my Neo. It comes with the word processing applet, AlphaWord.

One question I would have is whether it has software to go with it to help with writing, which the AlphaSmartr does… but which you’d better buy quickly becuase they’re being replaced with Danas and Neos, which don’t have the accompanying software. (I’m not sure how quickly or even if it’s in the works, since I believe there were some mergers of companies that may have different marketing priorities; portable word processors are *very* popular in the business world and the educaitonal market just doesn’t get you that same bottom line. )
