I’m interested in learning how special educators are using electronic whiteboards—particularly in a resource room setting. My Smart Board has just arrived, and while I’ve got several ideas, I’d be delighted to hear additional thoughts.

I’m a special educator, too. I am also incredibly jealous that you have this wonderful resource. I’m not an expert on these boards, having seen them only a few times, but I would think they would be especially helpful for kids with visual motor weaknesses. You can give them direct copies of your notes from your printer . Kids who are dysgraphic can spend more time looking and listening then copying notes. I know you can also access the internet while you’re teaching a lesson.
Are you at a public school? How did you get one of these? I’d love to know. Thanks. Ruth :)
