Graduation surprise

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

Last night Lisa M.’s and myon both graduated the 8th grade and I had a huge surprise. During the opening remarks the vice-principal read my sons letter he had written to his teacher. He said it was very inspiring and made him proud to be part of such a great organization. Although my son did not go home with a honor medal around his neck he did go home with a sense of pride. Lisa M.’s and my son are two of the children who improved enough to take non-LD classes next year we are so pleased with our boys progress. Lisa is pleased because for two semesters her son maintained a 3.0 average, way to go. We are now hoping that things go as well next year. Thought I would share since the letter received outstanding response.

That is so wonderful! I can imagine that your son will always remember that night. How wonderful when administrators care about all the kids, too.:-)
