How common is it for college students who have documented LDs to have tutors in college courses?
VERY common…. i’ve done lots of it myself, and love it! every student at some point seeks study help from a peer, and tutoring is just a more formal extension of that.the hardest part seems to be the student taking the initial “risk” and seeking help. once you’re past that, it’s great— especially as the students get more comfortable with tutoring.i have lots of specific experience with LLD and foreign language classes…would be happy to answer firther q’s if you have them.
