Research study for parents of children with disabilities

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

An online study is being conducted by researchers at the University of Denver investigating the role of religion in responding to potential stressors associated with parenting a child with a disability. Individuals at least 18 years old who are parents of children with disabilities are eligible to participate. Participants will take a one-time 30-40 minute anonymous survey on the Internet.

Information gathered from this study will help psychologists to better understand how different religious beliefs influence the coping process for parents of children with disabilities. We hope that with a better understanding, psychologists and religious organizations can provide better support and greater sensitivity.
