Hello. I am a female who has met her long time goal.
In 2003 I purchased my own home.
I have gone from transitional apartment living where there was staff 24/7, and then I moved to supportive living with roommates arranged by the program. In 2003, with the assistance of a family member who is employed in the real estate field, they found a perfect bungalow for me. My house is on a quiet street. I only have one main floor to take care of- which is good for me. I still have residential assistance as needed. My next goal is to work on phasing out of my program.
The reason I write this is to prove even though we have a disability we can achieve any dream we want. If we just set our mind to the dream we have in mind.
